Just as it would be extremely difficult to make ONE edible cupcake as one would have to make only enough batter and frosting for one, so it goes with making one soap cupcake!  To take one through the steps:  we must measure out and make sure our oils and butters are in a liquid state and make up the lye (Sodium Hydroxide) water.  Once both of these solutions are allowed to cool to the proper temperature, we add colorant and fragrance, and pour the cupcake bottoms.  Once the bottoms have firmed up, we repeat the process of adding colorant and fragrance. Once the soap frosting reaches the consistence of buttercream, we pipe the frosting on top of the base. Finally, embellishments are added, which have to be made ahead of time.  In a nutshell, it might take up to a half day to make 30 cupcakes from start to finish!
