After being apart for nearly a week, our Annabelle arrived at her new home! She left Saturday afternoon, got as far as Indiana (just over the Ohio border) and was hanging out at the transporters horse quarters until Thursday, where she left in what I can only describe as the Corcorde jet of horse trailers! Water, video cameras, large box stalls, and plenty of her hay to keep her happy on her trip.
She was scheduled to arrive around lunchtime on Friday, but when I didn’t hear from the driver by 1:00, I rang and he texted that he had to pick up a horse in St. Louis. Nevertheless, she arrived just before six that evening. Was I ever glad to see her, and I believe the feeling was mutual.
I would like to express my deep felt gratitude to Equine Express for their professionalism, courtesy in answering all my questions, wonderful drivers, and schedulers—namely Brooke, Chelsea, Travis, and Darwin. I know there are others, but unfortunately I do not have their names. You know who you are and I cannot thank you enough!
Husband David airlined it Thursday to Penn Yan to retrieve his beloved 1935 Stinson SR5 Reliant airplane at the Penn Yan airport. Shortly after I put Anna in her new temporary stall, he flew over and waved at me (in airplane fashion)! Perfect timing, huh?!
So, now our family is reunited, safe and sound, in our new home.
