Morocco Rhassoul Facial Clay Mask
Rhassoul Clay is an exceptional clay with multipurpose assets. It is mined in the fertile Atlas Mountains of Morocco and has been used for over 12 centuries by population in North Africa, Southern Europe and Middle East.
Rhassoul Clay's most impressive properties in skin improvement are its capacity of absorption due to its high level of ions exchange. Studies have shown that it is reputed to reduce dryness and flakiness, improve skin clarity and elasticity.
It contains the highest content of silica, magnesium, potassium and calcium, and because it has extraordinary absorption qualities it can be as a detoxifying cleanser, skin conditioner, shampoo, facial and body mask.
For a facial mask you can add water with honey, lemon juice, oatmeal, ground almonds, or yogurt to make a paste. A few drops of Essential Oils can be added but please read up on them and do not go out in the sun with the mask on.
- Mix the clay with one or two of the above ingredients of your choice to form a paste.
- Then wash face thoroughly, Exfoliate if necessary with one of my exfoliating bars. It removes the dead skin cells and helps your masks absorb better. Before you put the mask on cover your face with a hot wash cloth until it is no longer hot. This is to open up your pores.
- Take a brush (even a soft artist paint brush-$1 Store) and apply it all over your face but your lips, eyes and eyebrows.
- Wash the mask off with a warm wash cloth when it starts to harden.
- End with a toner.
